Wurkun Cultural Heritage Promotion Initiative (WUCUHPI), a blessing to the Wurkun Nation
Over the years, the Wurkun Nation, being one of the top notch tribes in Taraba have had less cultural representation, making it less known in the culture world. This deficiency was brought by the lack of cultural exhibition through pageantry.
As we all know, pageantry plays a very vital role in exhibiting the culture of a tribe cause knowing the culture is a criteria for emerging a winner. One must be conversant with the culture to even contest and as a winner, whatever one does is within the confines of such cultural boundaries.
With culture as the centre piece, the Wurkun Cultural Heritage Promotion Initiative has pushed the Wurkun culture a million steps in the right direction through organizing the Miss Wurkun Nigeria pageantry where Wurkun culture is at the centre stage, educating the general public with the rich heritage of the Wurkun people through pageantry.
With this year’s theme tagged “Wurkun my Identity”, WUCUHPI as an acronym for the organization has done a lot of good for dreaming this project and finally birthing it.
